CHICAGO – Head coach of the DePaul women’s basketball team Doug Bruno unveiled the Blue Demons’ 2024–25 non-conference schedule on Tuesday afternoon.

The 13-game schedule includes six games against teams in the 2024 NCAA Tournament, three matchups with local rivals and a total of seven regular-season games at Wintrust Arena.

“Our philosophy when scheduling non-league games has always been to challenge our team by playing against higher-ranked opponents or local rivals. This year is no exception,” Bruno said.

“The month of November will bring plenty of early testing for our team against perennial top-ranked opponents Texas as well as Duke, Kansas State and/or Oklahoma in Las Vegas, in addition to games against Princeton, Green Bay and Michigan State in December.”

Before the regular season begins, the Blue Demons will host two exhibition games. Games begin on Friday, October 18, when Lewis visits Lincoln Park for a game at McGrath-Phillips Arena. To close out the preseason, DePaul will host Winona State at Wintrust Arena on October 28.

The regular season begins on Wednesday, November 6 against Mercyhurst before Princeton travels to Chicago on November 9. Last season, the Tigers finished 25-5 and won their fifth consecutive Ivy League title.

DePaul will make its first road trip on Nov. 12, making a quick trip to Rogers Park to face Loyola Chicago in the 57th meeting between the two teams.

“Local rivals make for popular games with fans because all four Chicago schools have great alumni bases,” Bruno added. “When you play the local schools, you have to throw the records out the window.”

The Blue Demons host Texas on Nov. 17 after the Longhorns appeared in the 2024 Elite Eight and finished the season ranked No. 7 in the final Associated Press poll.

Bruno and Co. will travel to Green Bay, Wisconsin, on November 21 for the first time since 2019 for the return trip of a home-and-away series. The Phoenix won the 2024 Horizon League title, posting an overall record of 27-7.

During Thanksgiving week, DePaul travels to Las Vegas for the Ball Dawgs Classic on November 25 and 27, where two games will be played at Lee’s Family Forum. The rest of the field includes Duke, Kansas State and Oklahoma – all of whom were in the Big Dance last season, with pairings still to be determined.

The month of December begins with the return of a familiar face when SIUE, led by Sam Quigley-Smith (DePaul ’11), takes on the Blue Demons on December 1.

A series of three games in eight days continues with two away games against Big Ten opponents Northwestern (December 4) and Michigan State (December 8).

The non-conference schedule concludes with three home games, including the first of a home-and-away series against UNLV on Dec. 13 before facing UIC on Dec. 15 and Southern on Dec. 17 or 18.

The 2024–25 BIG EAST Conference schedule, including kickoff times and television broadcasts, will be announced at a later date.
