Woman on life support after domestic violence incident in Pima County

TUCSON, Arizona (13 News) – A woman is on a ventilator and her organs are to be donated after she was injured in a domestic violence incident in Pima County.

The Pima County Sheriff’s Department confirmed that 22-year-old Zahriya Moreno was injured in the incident Monday morning. The PCSD also said that 25-year-old Angelito Adrian Olivas was arrested for aggravated assault but released on $2,500 bail.

Robert Moreno, Zahriya’s father, told 13 News that his daughter was in the banner and would not survive. He said her organs would be donated on Wednesday and there would be a March of Honor Ceremony for her. He said Olivas was Zahriya’s friend.

More serious charges could be brought against Olivas.

According to PCSD, Moreno was transported to a fire station on Monday and then taken to the hospital. PCSD also confirmed that she was on life support.

Robert Moreno told 13 News that he lost his son Izac, Zahriya’s twin, was killed in a motorcycle accident in 2021.
