Some of golf’s most promising talents are battling for fame, glory and major attention this week at the 2024 U.S. Amateur Championship.

The tournament features several notable names, including Gordon Sargent, Jackson Koivun and Luke Clanton. Sargent, a 21-year-old rising senior at Vanderbilt University, is the top-ranked golfer in the field according to the World Amateur Golf Rankings. Koivun and Clanton are just behind Sargent in second and third place, respectively.

This year’s U.S. Amateur began with stroke play on Monday and Tuesday at the Chaska Town Course in Chaska, Minnesota. Match play will begin at Hazeltine National Golf Club on Wednesday and will remain there through the weekend.
