Atlanta Braves News: Spencer Strider, Ronald Acuña Jr. Updates, more

Atlanta Braves general manager Alex Anthopoulos said Tuesday that stars Spencer Strider and Ronald Acuña Jr. likely won’t be ready for Opening Day.

The right-handed strider suffered a sprained elbow in April and underwent surgery to repair his UCL. Acuña hasn’t seen a game since May, when he tore his ACL and had to undergo quick surgery.

There is no official timetable for their return, but Anthopoulos reiterated that staff will continue to evaluate.
