Gusty wind and risk of showers

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – It looks like we’ll need the umbrella on several days across the Mid State this week

TODAY

We’re off to a warm start to the week across the midstate, with highs expected to be around 80 this afternoon. Today will be partly sunny and very windy, with winds reaching 30 miles per hour at times.

It will be partly clear this evening, with lows in the mid 60s through tomorrow morning.

ELECTION DAY

Tomorrow it will be another warm and windy day. Highs will again reach near, if not into, the 80s with more clouds than sun. Winds are still blowing during the day with gusts of around 30 miles per hour. If you plan to vote on Election Day, I can’t completely rule out a scattered shower, but most of the rain should continue late into the day and overnight.

MIDDLE OF THE WEEK

It is expected that there will be isolated showers into Wednesday and temperatures will drop back to over 70°C in the afternoon.

I can’t say no to a shower on Thursday, but more of us will end up staying dry, even with temperatures in the 70s.

LATE WEEK & WEEKEND

We’ll dry things out on Friday and even try to get some sunshine again in the afternoon. On Friday, temperatures will remain stable at around 70°.

It’s more likely to rain heading into the weekend, but at the moment it doesn’t look like it’s going to ruin your weekend plans.

Just a few showers Saturday and Sunday with temperatures in the lower to mid 70s.
