The statement is even more ridiculous because Rivers played with Jokic and saw firsthand how good he is.

“Karl is a better scorer and better than Nikola in almost every attribute of the game,” Rivers said. “He’s an average shooter, he’s not a good three-point shooter. I didn’t say he is a better player, I already said Nikola is.” “The best player in the NBA, but when it comes to offensive ability, can Karl score more than him other than passing?”

In the 23 games the two centers have played against each other, Towns has averaged 24 points and Nikolas 18.9. However, that doesn’t matter when Nikola Jokic has three NBA MVPs and one NBA Finals MVP, while Karl-Anthony Towns has been to the Western Conference Finals once in his career.
