OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – A few showers move north this morning, leaving us damp and chilly to start the week. There shouldn’t be much of it left after 7 a.m.

Temperatures near 60 degrees early this morning will be the warmest of the day. We will slowly fall into the 50s for the rest of the day. More rain will begin to enter the area from the south in the mid to late afternoon and will become more widespread towards the evening and overnight. A drenching rainfall of 0.5 to 1 inch is expected for many overnight into the early hours of Tuesday.

On Election Day, showers should end no later than 9 a.m. on the Nebraska side and no later than 12 p.m. on the Iowa side as they move east. The afternoon should be sunny and very autumnal.

Keep in mind that the wind should also decrease as the morning progresses, but gusts near 30 miles per hour are expected for a few hours in the morning.

Then Wednesday should be dry, after some morning fog potential. Highs in the mid 50s should feel pretty good for early November.
