Tim Walz and Doug Emhoff are hosting a rally in Cobb County on Sunday with Jon Bon Jovi and other musicians

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – Two days before the election, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, the Democratic vice presidential nominee, and Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff visited metro Atlanta for one final political push.

The two held a rally at the Cobb Galleria Center in Cobb County on Sunday afternoon. According to the campaign, Jon Bon Jovi, REM singer Michael Stipe and couple The War and Treaty performed.

The visit was part of a flurry of political activity in Georgia, a key battleground state, before Nov. 5.

On Saturday, Vice President Kamala Harris spoke at a rally in downtown Atlanta, and first lady Jill Biden traveled to Warner Robins, Macon and Savannah.

Former President Bill Clinton will visit Augusta on Sunday to campaign for Harris.

Meanwhile, Lara Trump led the Team Trump Women’s Tour in Atlanta on Saturday.

Former President Donald Trump will visit Macon on Sunday. His running mate, Ohio Senator JD Vance, will hold a rally at the Cobb Galleria Center in Cobb County on Monday afternoon.

Despite continued efforts by both parties to claim Georgia as their own, the state remains in limbo. According to a recent CNN poll from polling firm Social Science Research Solutions, 48% of likely voters prefer Trump and 47% prefer Harris. Other polls found similar results, with the Marist poll showing a 49% tie for each candidate.
