The Seahawks’ Geno Smith throws two touchdowns in the final minute of the half

SEATTLE – In the first half of Sunday’s game, the Seattle Seahawks lost a total of 44 yards on two botched snaps and two dropped passes, one of which bounced off a Los Angeles Rams defender for an interception.

Despite all the sloppiness, they took a 13-3 lead at Lumen Field thanks to two touchdowns less than a minute apart and an interception by Riq Woolen.

After their first five possessions ended with four punts and an interception by Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Seattle’s offense finally woke up. Geno Smith hit Tyler Lockett for a 30-yard touchdown, capping a nine-play, 70-yard drive despite the PAT being blocked.

Woolen then intercepted a deep ball from Matthew Stafford intended for Puka Nacua to give the ball back to Seattle. Smith-Njigba, making up for his earlier drop, caught a 46-yard pass to put the Seahawks into Rams territory, and two plays later he caught a 26-yard touchdown to cap a wild sequence.

More good news for the Seahawks: They won’t have to defend Nacua for the rest of the game after the Rams receiver was ejected for throwing a punch at Tyrel Dodson after Woolen’s pick.
