Eagles Deadline Proposal Gets $23M Star To Fix Biggest Weakness

The Philadelphia Eagles don’t have many holes in their roster right now.

Philadelphia is 5-2 heading into Week 9 against the Jacksonville Jaguars this weekend. The Eagles have won three games in a row and although Sunday’s matchup will likely be tough, they should be able to emerge victorious.

The Eagles could be 6-2 when the National Football League trade deadline ends on November 5th. For this reason, Philadelphia will be talked about a lot. The deadline is almost here and the Eagles have been great.

The deadline could be a tool for Philadelphia to expand the organization even further, and USA Today’s Michael Middlehurst-Schwartz suggested Cleveland Browns star Za’Darius Smith as a suitable candidate.

“Za’Darius Smith, (defensive end), Cleveland Browns: Smith isn’t a star, but he could help get this pass rush to a more stable place,” Middlehurst-Schwartz said. “His presence could also allow Vic Fangio to be more creative and efficient with his rotation, particularly when using Bryce Huff and Nolan Smith.”

This isn’t the first time Smith has been linked to the Eagles, and it probably won’t be the last either. Philadelphia could use some help on the sideline, and it appears Smith is the best player available with players like Maxx Crosby and Myles Garrett not expected to be moved.

Smith already has five sacks and would arguably be the Eagles’ best pass rusher right away if they could land him. That’s a great suggestion.
