Rainy Sunday

On Sunday, showers and storms will continue for most of the day. A break in rain is expected during the afternoon as showers and storms move northeast. This is a relatively short-lived respite as the next shower is expected to arrive late Sunday evening and Monday morning. Highs tomorrow will reach the upper 50s and lows into the mid 60s.

Rainy weather forecast until election day

The second round of rain will be followed by a third round of rain and storms Monday evening into Tuesday morning. We can expect some dryness between these three main rounds of rain, but overall there will be wet and cloudy weather over the next few days. Widespread rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected, with higher amounts possible in many locations. Although the rain is expected to cause rivers to rise, flooding is unlikely at this time as the rain will be spread over several days with some dry period in between to allow the soil to absorb the moisture. Temperatures are relatively mild during this time, with highs in the 60s and lows in the 40s and 50s.

Drier and cooler after Tuesday

Cooler, drier weather is coming after a cold front moves through Tuesday afternoon and evening. Highs will be in the 50s and lows will be in the 30s for the second half of the work week before a return of showers late next week into next weekend.

Showers and a few rumbles of thunder move in tonight as we enter a wet weather pattern over the next few days.
