Michigan State QB goes to the locker room

Michigan State football quarterback Aidan Chiles was taken to the locker room with a towel over his head after leaving Saturday’s game against Indiana.

Chiles remained on the field for a long time after taking a hard hit while rolling into the pocket and throwing the ball away in the second and ninth quarters.

It wasn’t immediately clear what injured Chiles, but the quarterback landed on his right arm and his head hit the ground in the big hit.

Chiles was taken straight to the injury tent on the sideline and shortly afterwards to the locker room.

Chiles left the field and walked to the locker room without needing the assistance of a cart.

After Chiles left the game, backup quarterback Tommy Schuster came into the game to complete the drive. Schuster completed a pass for a 5-yard gain on third down and then was sacked on fourth-and-4, giving the Hoosiers the ball back.

The Chileans led MSU on back-to-back shots early in the game, but after the Spartans took a 10-0 lead, their offense collapsed. When the sophomore quarterback left the game, MSU trailed 30-10.
