No. 7 Bowling looks to defend Track Kat Klash title

RUSTON— Louisiana Tech’s seventh-ranked bowling team looks to defend its Track Kat Klash title. The tournament will take place November 1-3 at the Emerald Bowl in Houston.

ABOUT LOUISIANA TECH (9-4)
The seventh-seeded Bulldogs have a 9-4 record at Destination Orlando, where they tied for seventh place with six of the top seven teams in the field. Kylee Trexler And Abbie Leidecker finished in the top 25 and led Tech.

Two weeks after winning the MVP tournament at SWIBC II, Trexler was again the front runner, finishing 12th overall with 1,099 points and a 219.8 average. The sophomore has a first-ball average of 20.76 in the first three events of the year.

Leiendecker, who was named tournament MVP at SWIBC I, finished 22nd with a score of 1.039 and an average of 207.8. She is third on the team with an average of 19.56 per frame.

Tech will open the tournament against Alabama State, Central Missouri, No. 21 McKendree, Adelphi and No. 15 Newman for the Baker portion.

On day two, the Bulldogs open a position round within their pool before taking on Lewis, No. 9 Maryville, No. 24 Oklahoma Christian and No. 16 University of Maryland Eastern Shore.

After the first two days, teams will be seeded based on total pins and will compete in three Baker Bracket matches in a best-of-seven format.
