Almost a decade after the release of Pixar’s first film Inside Out 2 was released in cinemas in 2024 and received both critical acclaim and box office results. Given the film’s success, all eyes are on Pixar to see if there will be one Inside Out 3.

‘Inside Out 2’ director talks potential for a sequel

Inside Out 2 Director Kelsey Mann addressed this question in a recent interview with Empire Magazine. Knowing what Pixar has in store for the future, Mann said the studio is trying to find the right balance between original ideas and franchise installments. She also provided an update on internal sentiment toward creating one Inside Out 3That means “people are pretty open to” making a third film. “They want to make sure we live up to it. But people are excited to see Riley’s life – her whole life. They want to see Riley grow up,” Mann said. The director added that there were no discussions about it Inside Out 3 has not yet been carried out because Mann took some time off afterwards Inside Out 2 was completed.

“There are so many great ideas that we couldn’t incorporate into this film or the original. I really hope these ideas find a home one day,” Mann added. The first Inside Out film visited Riley at a critical moment in her teenage life, as she experienced the difficulties of moving across the country and having to start over at a new school. Pixar is preparing to release a streaming series on Disney+ titled Dream productionsa spin-off from the world of From the inside out. Set in the part of Riley’s mind that produces dreams every night, the series follows director Paula as she teams up with a new daydream director to try to make Riley’s dreams successful every night. The series features voice actors Paula Pell and Richard Ayoade. Dream productions is scheduled to be released on December 11, 2024, which should at least temporarily shorten the wait for further news Inside Out 3.
