Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar expresses Diwali wishes and highlights message of light, unity and justice

Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar wished all the citizens of ‘Bharat’ a Happy Diwali and underlined the importance of the festival as a celebration of light that overcomes darkness and a call for unity and justice.
He said, “On the auspicious occasion of Deepawali, I extend my warmest greetings to all fellow citizens of Bharat.”
“Deepawali, celebrated with reverence and joy not only in Bharat but in our diaspora across the world, symbolizes the timeless victory of light over darkness, hope over despair and knowledge over ignorance. May the light of Diwali lead us to unity, prosperity and progress. Let us embrace the spirit of hope, wisdom and compassion to enrich our lives and our communities. I wish everyone a happy and blessed Deepawali!,” he added.
Dhankhar also emphasized the importance of righteousness during this festival. He noted, “Deepawali carries a message of justice for all of us and urges us to discharge our duties with unwavering integrity and dedication.”

In his statement, the Vice President also highlighted the Deepotsav in Ayodhya, calling it a “truly divine spectacle” that brings people together. Encouraging everyone to light their lamps, he expressed his hope that “the splendor of Diwali illuminates our path and leads Bharat to a future of unity, prosperity and limitless progress.” He concluded with wishes for a joyful one and blessed Deepawali.
Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also greeted people on the occasion of Diwali and wished everyone a healthy, happy and prosperous life.
“Many happy wishes to the countrymen on Deepawali. On the occasion of this divine festival of lights, I wish everyone a healthy, happy and successful life. May everyone prosper with the blessings of Maa Lakshmi and Lord Shri Ganesha,” PM Modi said on X.
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami also greeted people on Diwali and wished that the festival would bring them new energy, enthusiasm and positivity.
“Congratulations and best wishes to all of you on the amazing festival of lights, Deepawali. May this festival bring new energy, enthusiasm and positivity into the lives of all of you. I pray to Maa Lakshmi and Lord Ganesha that all your lives will be filled with happiness, prosperity and happiness,” CM Dhami said on X.
Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi also wished everyone a happy and prosperous Diwali.

Diwali is known as the “Festival of Lights” and celebrates the victory of light over darkness and good over evil. Meanwhile, on the occasion of Diwali, the Swaminarayan Akshardham temple in Gujarat’s capital Gandhinagar is set to be illuminated with 10,000 diyas as part of the Diwali celebrations
