The popular streamer Asmongold has returned Twitch following a recent ban that took him offline for two weeks. As he resumes his streaming activities on Twitch, Asmongold takes the opportunity to reflect on his past behavior and take a look at possible changes for his channel.

Zack “Asmongold” Hoyt is one of the most popular streamers on Twitch and has over 3.5 million followers on the platform. He began his career creating in 2009 World of Warcraft Videos on YouTube and created a Twitch account in 2011. Asmongold quickly gained popularity and opened a second account, zackrawrr, on the Amazon platform. Millions of followers have never stopped Asmongold from sharing his opinions, even if it sometimes led to Twitch bans. During a stream on his alt account on October 14, Asmongold made a comment about the Palestinians, calling them “horrible people” from an “inferior culture” and stating that he has “no compassion” for the population. Following these comments, Twitch decided to suspend Asmongold’s Zackrawrr account for 14 days.

Asmongold thinks about his past behavior

With Asmongold’s ban on Twitch now over, the streamer began his first broadcast post-ban with a chat with his viewers. Asmongold addressed his past behavior and acknowledged that his previous comments were a misstep. In addition to recent comments about Palestinians, the streamer also previously criticized the Esports Streamer of the Year award won by Twitch streamer Riversgg, saying it was only given as a diversity selection because she is a woman.
