First alert weather day on Thursday morning

FIRST ALARM WEATHER DAY HALLOWEEN TOMORROW: Cloudy and warm with spooky, isolated showers before 1pm. Thunder and lightning strikes can also occur in the first half of the day if a strong cold front approaches. Widespread gusts of 40-50 miles per hour are expected during the morning hours. Temperatures will fall into the low 60s late afternoon behind the front, with gusts around 30-40 mph. The rain is expected to end well before the evening trick-or-treaters, but plan on a cool evening in the low 50s to upper 40s with a breeze.

FRIDAY: Morning clouds and a breeze. In the afternoon and early evening hours the amount of sunshine increases and the wind becomes calmer. High 55F. Low around 35F. Winds northwest at 5 to 15 mph.

SATURDAY: Sunny and calm wind. Highs around 60°F. Low temperatures around 40°F. Wind SE at 5 to 10 mph.

OUR NEXT FIRST ALERT: Daylight saving time ends Saturday night/Sunday morning. Falling back 1 hour at 2am on Sunday. Our next system will arrive late this weekend and on Election Day. Scattered showers are expected on Sunday as a warm front moves in. Expect highs to rebound into the 60s Sunday through Election Day. Further showers are also expected on Monday and Tuesday next week, but no all-day rainfall. A cold front will move in immediately after Election Day, cooling our high temperatures into the lower 50s until it ends next week. Long-term forecasts continue to point to a brief blast of cold air in the second half of November. This could give some the first snowflakes of the season!
