Warm, windy before showers and thunderstorms

(KFVS) – It will be another windy and warm day with highs near records in the mid-80s.

Winds continue to be breezy from the southwest with gusts near 30 miles per hour.

The risk of fire remains a concern throughout the day.

A cold front will move through tomorrow, increasing the chance of widespread showers and storms. The rain will move in from the west before dawn tomorrow and move further east throughout the early afternoon.

A few strong storms are possible, the main concern being damaging winds. A Severe Storm Threat Level 1 is expected for our western counties.

As for trick-or-treating plans, most rain and wind conditions are over by 5 p.m. Tomorrow night should be a pretty nice evening for all the outdoor activities.

Friday and Saturday will be cooler and mostly dry as high pressure remains behind this front.

Highs on Friday will be back in the 60s, and lows on Saturday will be in the 70s.

We will see mostly sunny skies on Friday and Saturday. Rain chances return across the heartland towards the second half of the weekend and will persist into next week.

Additionally, Daylight Saving Time ends at 2 a.m. on Sunday.

Heavier rain is expected along another cold front around Tuesday next week.
