Steve Bannon, the right-wing podcast host and former campaign manager of Donald Trump, held a press conference after his release from prison. Bannon claimed he was “a political prisoner” under what he called the “regime of Merrick Garland, Kamala Harris, Nancy Pelosi” because he stuck to his beliefs. Bannon, who served four months in prison, claimed that they intended to “shut down the war room” and “smash” him, but said he was now “far from broken” and felt “strengthened.”
