Inmate Steve Bannon reportedly hangs out with the whites and teaches civics | Steve Bannon

Steve Bannon, a former White House chief strategist under the Trump administration, is set to be released from prison on Tuesday, and details have emerged about his life behind bars, during which he enjoyed spending time with other white prisoners.

The news website Notus published an investigation in which she corresponded with several of Bannon’s fellow inmates at a Connecticut prison.

According to inmates imprisoned alongside the close ally of Donald Trump and far-right figure, Bannon tended to “white car” among the various racial, religious and geographical groups into which his and many other American prisons are unofficially divided.

The group includes gangsters serving sentences for fraud and similar criminals, Notus reported.

“Your boy (Bannon) is in the white car, sitting with the Italians, Godfather type,” Fred Carrasco Jr., an inmate serving time for armed drug trafficking, told Notus.

“Basically he stays with his crew (and) hangs out with a guy” who is “pretty tough,” Carrasco told Notus, adding that white inmates in the prison had their own table they sat at and Bannon was a regular there.

Bannon will be released from FCI Danbury, a suburban prison in Connecticut, on Tuesday after serving a four-month sentence. A jury found him guilty of two counts of contempt of Congress: one for refusing to participate in committee testimony and the other for refusing to file documents.

In addition to his political career, Bannon is the host of “The War Room,” a podcast that has reached millions of listeners and is popular among Trump supporters.

He is expected to continue his career in media and politics, reigniting controversial calls for “retaliation” against Democrats and other critics of the MAGA movement.

“It wouldn’t surprise me if he started campaigning straight away and hosted his ‘War Room’ show for four hours every day,” Raheem Kassam, a British conservative activist, told Notus.

Kassam said he was “in contact with Steve almost every day.”

According to Rolling Stone, Bannon also spent his time behind bars giving weekly civics classes to offenders.

“Trump’s 34 felony convictions have somewhat dulled the appeal of being a felon,” Bannon reportedly told his students in one of those classes.
