The Giants’ Tyrone Tracy suffered a concussion after leaving Monday’s game against the Steelers

Giants running back Tyrone Tracy Jr. is officially in the concussion protocol after leaving Monday night’s loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers with a head injury.

Tracy enjoyed another great breakout performance, but was quickly forced into the locker room along with the trainers and independent neurologist after hitting his head hard on the floor at the end of a run late in the fourth quarter.

The rookie again got the start back over the veteran Devin Singletary and he was confident he would seize the opportunity, acting as one of the only sparks for the Big Blue offense, which struggled most of the evening to finish drives and put the ball in the end zone.

New York’s only touchdown came on his impressive 45-yard dash, which came just minutes before he was put out of action for the rest of the night.

Overall, Tracy capped off an impressive night by rushing for 145 yards on 20 carries while also hauling in his only two targets.

With the Giants facing a short week, it’s too early to say whether he’ll be able to return to action for the divisional game against the first-place Washington Commanders, but if not, it would likely lead to Singletary taking over the leadoff duties again for the time being. Baking roll.
