Broncos vs. Panthers grades: Denver’s offense clicks in home win | Denver Broncos

The Broncos took care of business at home against the Carolina Panthers on Sunday and are 5-3 on the season.

Here are the scores from the 28-14 win:

attack

Bo Nix had the best game of his career against the worst team in the league. But he did what he was supposed to do. Nix threw three touchdowns and ran for another. He was confident in the pocket. After not being targeted against the Saints, Courtland Sutton had a great game with 100 yards. Denver’s offense also spotted the tight end and took advantage when Nate Adkins and Adam Trautman had touchdowns.

defense

The Panthers didn’t pose much of a challenge for the Broncos, but at first it looked like it was going to be more difficult than they thought. Carolina scored on its first drive, but Denver’s defense was strong after that. Patrick Surtain had another pick and Nik Bonitto continued his sack streak.

Coaching

Coach Sean Payton let Nix cook against a bad team, and that was encouraging to see. Payton’s game plan was strong from the start. It was clear that the coach used this game to work on a few things.
