Kai Cenat Joins the NBA’s Digital Push and Starts His Own ‘Little Basketball Association’

In a whirlwind moment when dreams become reality, YouTuber and streamer Kai Cenat has taken his passion for basketball to a new level by joining the NBA’s Digital Creators Program and launching his own fictional league, the Little Basketball Association (LBA ), brought into being. Cenat, known for his viral pranks and love of basketball, recently attended an NBA season opener between the Boston Celtics and New York Knicks at TD Garden, where he met commissioner Adam Silver. The meeting wasn’t just a friendly encounter; It was a dream come true when Silver invited Cenat to join the NBA’s newest initiative, NBA Playmakers, designed to provide fans with exclusive behind-the-scenes content.

As part of this digital venture, Cenat has begun working with the NBA and joining a group of content creators, including Drew Afualo, who are producing licensed videos that reach a younger, digitally native audience. “It’s a dream come true to partner with the NBA and bring more content to my fans this season,” shared Cenat.

Beyond his NBA collaborations, Cenat also founded the Little Basketball Association, a light-hearted parody league that debuted at Atlanta’s Overtime Arena. Since the children were the stars of the league, Cenat humorously played the role of the towering leader for his team, the New York Sky, towering over his teammates at 5’10”. With fans on the sidelines holding up oversized cutouts of his face and popular streamers cheering him on, the fictional race track caused a stir online. The New York Sky took on the Dallas Giants and ultimately secured a win 53-44 in an entertaining game where the young players showcased their talent while Cenat occasionally stumbled and missed shots to give these young athletes a chance to give, to shine.

The LBA games are expected to last until early October, providing Cenat fans with a daily dose of humor and basketball action. From collaborating with NBA legends to fostering a young, imaginative basketball league, Cenat has proven that the modern digital creator can combine entertainment, sports and fantasy to captivate audiences.
