Jelly Roll performs in Winder for Apalachee High School…

Singer Jelly Roll will host a private performance for Apalachee High School students and faculty at Jug Tavern Park on Saturday.

The city of Winder said in a Facebook post that the private performance will take place at 1:30 p.m. because there will be several road closures in the area before and during the performance. E Athens will be closed for Spooktacular on Friday, October 25th and will remain closed until Saturday. Additionally, E Candler and Jug Tavern Park will be closed all day on Saturday.

The city also said there will be limited parking downtown.

Different admission policies apply and security checks are carried out to view the performance. Clear bags are recommended.

Only those with school-issued AHS wristbands will be permitted entry to the venue. All other guests will be sent to an overflow space, space permitting. Weapons, alcohol, chairs and coolers are prohibited, but blankets and closed soft drinks are welcome.

“This private event aims to promote healing and unity for the students, faculty and families of Apalachee High School as they come together to reflect and support one another following the tragedy in September,” the Facebook post said . “Thank you for your cooperation in making this a safe and enjoyable event for the Apalachee community!”

The event will feature food and beverage vendors as well as a water station.
