After several days of warm weather, we finally return to the seasonable air today. Highs today will be a few degrees either side of 60°C, perfect for the time of year. Add to that bright sunshine and light winds and it’s going to be a fantastic Friday.

The weekend also looks good overall, although windy at times. With a cold front moving through tomorrow morning it will bring some patches of cloud but limited moisture so I don’t expect any rain. As the front leaves the coast, gusty winds will develop with gusts of 20-30 mph in the afternoon. High temperatures will move into the low to mid 60s in the early afternoon, but will quickly taper off throughout the evening as cool air takes hold.

Despite plenty of sunshine, high temperatures on Sunday and Monday will be in the low 50s, with heavy frost/frost expected Monday morning.

On Tuesday we will recover to around 60°C. As the warm front clears through Tuesday night, some clouds and a patchy shower are possible, but the big story will be increasing warmth Wednesday through Halloween. Temperatures will likely rise well into the 70s. While we may not reach the record of 81 set in 1946, the upper 70s will be enough for one of the warmer Halloweens ever.
