National voting intent for the US presidential election (October 21, 2024)

Only two weeks until election day, the latest poll on voting intention in the US presidential election from Redfield & Wilton strategies finds Donald Trump leading Kamala Harris by 2% nationally.

This latest result represents a shift from Harris to Trump since our last national poll on US voting intentions was released two weeks ago and marks the first time since mid-July that Trump has led our national poll. before Kamala Harris entered the race and when Joe Biden was his opponent.

After weighting based on the probability of voting stated by the respondents themselves, 47% (+1) of Americans say they will vote for Donald Trump, while 45% (-3) say they will vote for Kamala Harris. Meanwhile, another 4% (-) say they are still unsure how they will vote.

6% (+1) of Trump 2020 voters now say they will vote for Harris, and 11% (+3) of Biden 2020 voters now say they will vote for Trump. Donald Trump retains the support of 91% (-) of those who voted for him in 2020, while 81% (-7) of those who voted for Joe Biden in the last presidential election say they will vote for Kamala Harris.

90% of those who express an intention to vote say that their vote is safe. Only 10% say their vote could still change.

When asked who was more likely to win the presidential election between Harris and Trump, he replied: 41% (-1) of respondents say they think Kamala Harris is more likely to winas opposed to 40% (+2) who believe Donald Trump is more likely to win. 11% (-1) believe the race will be a back-and-forth race.

At the same time, 43% of voters believe Donald Trump is most likely to win their own statewhile 41% think Kamala Harris is most likely to win her state.

When we finally ask them to guess who their neighbors are voting for, A majority of 47% believe their neighbors will vote for Donald Trumpwhile 44% believe their neighbors will vote for Kamala Harris.

86% of likely Trump voters believe their neighbors will vote for Trump, while 82% of likely Harris voters believe their neighbors will vote the same way.
