Transformers One is now available on digital platforms such as Amazon Prime Video and Apple TV+ just a month after its theatrical release. If you missed seeing Optimus Prime, Megatron, Bumblebee and the rest of the Transformers on the big screen, here’s how to watch Transformers One from the comfort of your own home.

Transformers One is the first fully CGI animated film Transformers film in the history of the franchise. The film premiered in theaters last month on September 20, 2024 and is set 300 million years before the live-action films. Transformers One tells the untold origin story of Optimus Prime and Megatron. While they are best known as enemies, they were once close friends – like brothers – who ultimately changed the fate of Cybertron, the film’s synopsis states.

Chris Hemsworth, Brian Tyree Henry, Scarlett Johansson and Keegan-Michael Key provide the voices for Orion Pax/Optimus Prime, D-16/Megatron, Elita-1 and B-127/Bumblebee, respectively. In an interview with Men’s Journal, Key expressed his desire to return for future films, which producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura previously confirmed were already in conception.

“I really enjoyed working on this film and working with the director who I’ve worked with before,” Key said Men’s diary Beginning of October. “If they did four more of these, I would love to be in all of them. You know, if they did another one of these, I’d love to be there.”

Despite a soft debut at the box office, the film was a surprise success with critics and audiences alike. Transformers One boasts a solid 89% critic score and a near-perfect 98% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes. This surpasses last year’s live-action film Transformers: Rise of the Beastswhich received only 51% from critics, although fans still gave the film a positive rating of 91%.

Transformers One is now available to stream on digital video-on-demand sites such as Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV+ and Fandango At Home. You can buy Transformers One for $24.99 or rent the film for $19.99 (for 48 hours).

The animated film will also be released on December 17th on 4K UHD, 4K SteelBook and Blu-ray.

When will Transformers One Stream on Paramount+?

Transformers One will stream on Paramount+ at some point. The film is expected to land on the streaming platform around two to three months after its theatrical release, sometime in November or December 2024.

In comparison A quiet place, day one premiered in theaters on June 28th and landed on Paramount’s streaming service about two months later, on August 27th. Mean Girls had a shorter window from theatrical release to streaming of 53 days (less than two months) compared to last year. Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One was released on the platform approximately three months after its theatrical premiere.
