Poll results show Trump leading Harris in Georgia two weeks before Election Day

Former President Donald Trump has a slight lead over Vice President Kamala Harris in the key swing state of Georgia, according to a new poll.

The poll, conducted by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution and the University of Georgia, found Trump has 47% support in the state, compared to 43% for Harris. However, a remarkable 8% of respondents said they were still undecided.

The Georgia poll polled 1,000 of the state’s likely voters Oct. 7-16. The survey reports a margin of error of 3.1%.

The survey also found that 60% of respondents say the country is on the wrong path and their top issues are inflation/cost of living (19%), economy/jobs (17%), preserving democracy (17%) and immigration ( 14%) and abortion (8%).

HARRIS CALLS JIMMY CARTER TO GET SUPPORTERS VOTE EARLY

“Millions of illegal immigrants have flooded our country since 2021, and it is well documented that thousands of them have successfully registered to vote in multiple states. But even with early voting now underway, Georgia voters are still waiting for confirmation of non-citizens. “We don’t cast ballots in our elections,” the former senator said Kelly Loeffler, who now serves as chair of the Greater Georgia group behind the effort, said in a press release obtained exclusively by Fox News Digital.

Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger is under pressure to release the results of a voter roll audit.

The comments come more than three months after Raffensperger announced that the state was conducting a “SAVE audit” on non-citizens who may have citizenship registered to votewhich he called an “important step toward preserving election security and integrity in Georgia.”

“We are double-checking to ensure that non-citizens who attempt to register to vote will not be able to vote unless they provide proof that they are U.S. citizens,” Raffensberger said in a press release at the time. which also warned non-citizens who register to vote in the state could face prison sentences of up to 10 years and fines of up to $100,000.
