Fantasy football starting and sit-em lineup tips

Bucky Irving (RB)

Irving was the team’s lead back last week and he’s looking to take on that role again in Week 7. Last week, he played 65% of total snaps, 73% of passed snaps, and had an 84% snap rate in the red zone. Irving finished last week as the RB12 of the week with 16 touchdowns and 105 total yards. He has been impressive per touch this season. Among the 61 qualified backs, Irving ranks second in explosive run rate, fifth in forced missed tackles per attempt and fourth in yards after contact per attempt. He has a brutal matchup this week against a Baltimore run defense that has allowed the fourth-lowest explosive run rate, fewest rushing yards per game and lowest yards after contact per attempt. Irving is a volume-based RB2 this week.

Christian Watson (WR)

Last week, Watson finished as the WR20 in fantasy, posting a 62.9% route share (second among wide receivers), a 12.5% target share, a 36% air yard share, a 3.09 YPRR and a First read share of 15% (tied for second on the team). Watson is second on the team in end zone targets. Watson faces a Houston secondary that ranks 16th in receiving yards per game allowed to perimeter wide receivers. The Texans have the eighth-highest single-high rate in the NFL (58.3%). Compared to single-high, Watson ranks fifth on the team in TPRR (13%), YPRR (1.22) and first read percentage (10%). Sit with Watson this week.

Romeo Doubs (WR)

Last week, Doubs returned and posted strong stats as this week’s WR11. Doubs had a target share of 12.5%, an air yard share of 26.4%, 49 receiving yards (1.88 YPRR), a first read share of 15% and two scores. Houston ranks 16th in yards per game allowed to perimeter wide receivers. The Texans have the eighth-highest single-high rate in the NFL (58.3%). Against single-high, Doubs is fourth on the team in TPRR (17%) and YPRR (1.87), while ranking first in first-read percentage (24%). Doubs could be tapped as Jayden Reed’s running mate to lead the team in goals this week.
