The King County Sheriff’s Office is investigating mass shootings in Fall City

King County deputies are actively investigating a mass shooting Monday in Fall City.

A spokesman said the shooting happened early Monday morning at a home in the 7700 block of Lake Alice Road in Fall City. A person who texted KIRO Newsradio said at least five people were shot. KIRO Newsradio and MyNorthwest are working to confirm this.

As the investigation continues, several sheriff’s deputies have the road closed at the time of this reporting. The King County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) is scheduled to hold a press conference at 9 a.m

“Residential investigators are currently investigating multiple victims,” KCSO Public Information Officer Mike Mellis told KOMO News. “This investigation is still at a very early stage, but it will affect many people.”

According to Mellis, Fall City is an area with a “generally low crime rate.”

Mellis told KING 5 this may be a domestic violence incident, but there is no ongoing threat to the community. The scene appears to be a “self-contained situation”.
