COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) – We are now heading into a warmer than average stretch of temperatures. The warmer mood will prevail this week; The night hours and early morning hours also become milder.

There’s lots of sun this Monday. There is a warming trend underway, with a nice easterly breeze blowing at times. Highs near 80 degrees.

It’s clear and another cool night, but we won’t have as many as we start in the 40s early Tuesday. Lows will be in the mid 40s in the cooler areas (LaGrange) and in the lower 50s in the warmer areas (Columbus).

Mostly sunny, despite some moving clouds from the east. Warming up with highs in the low 80s.

It’s a similar story on Wednesday, but it starts off a few degrees warmer; Most of us will have morning temperatures in the low to mid 50s, with highs in the low 80s.

There is a chance we could reach highs in the mid 80s on Thursday. Even if a front swings through, it doesn’t actually change the temperatures towards the end of the week. If anything, it may get a few degrees cooler over the course of the weekend and as we head into next week the wind direction changes. As for precipitation, it will remain dry throughout the weekend. There could be some light rain again next week, but it doesn’t look like it will rain heavily.
