According to Taylor Swift, Sunday night will be the “last ever” rain show in Miami

MIAMI (AP) — Taylor Swift said Sunday that Florida would see the final rain show of the Eras Tour.

“Obviously we’re having a very, very special, unique concert tonight, and this is the kind of concert where it’s just raining the whole time,” the singer said in the “Folklore” cabin, her hair drenched in the rain . “This is what we affectionately call a rain show.”

As the rain fell in sporadic bursts, ranging from drizzle to downpours, fans danced for three and a half hours.

“Here’s the thing,” Swift said. “That night, tonight, was the very last opportunity we could possibly have on the Eras Tour to put on a rain show because from now on every stadium is indoors.”

Swift will perform in New Orleans, Indianapolis, Toronto and Vancouver before the tour ends on December 8th.

In the Swift community, rain is a good thing

Every time it rains, Swift calls it a lucky concert. Two notable rain shows on the Eras Tour were the third night in Nashville, Tennessee, on May 7, 2023, when heavy weather delayed the start of the concert by two hours, and the second night in Foxborough, Massachusetts, on May 20, 2023, when Swift was seen in viral videos squeezing water from her piano during the surprise acoustic set.

“So, Miami, do you want to dance with me in the rain tonight?” the singer asked Sunday night at the Hard Rock Stadium before playing “Lover.” Her straightened hair began to curl as the water trickled over the 61,000 attendees. “Here’s the thing, this is our last show in Miami. We really feel like we saved our best performance as a concept for last.”

The fans in the audience repeated “Best” and excitement spread throughout the arena. Could she make an announcement in Florida?

Swift debuted a new shimmering blue blazer for The Man, adding to a series of debut outfits. The biggest shock of the weekend was her gold “Reputation” bodysuit.

“You’re here, partying so hard on a Sunday night, regardless of the fact that tomorrow is Monday,” Swift smiled to the crowd during her “Red” era. Fans on live streams commented tirelessly on her grin. “She’s up to something,” one user said.

In the “Speak Now” section, there was enough humidity to warrant a quick response.

“Oh, it’s raining, wow!” she said, floating down the runway during the first verse of “Enchanted.”
