Tyler Huntley throws the first touchdown for the Miami Dolphins

INDIANAPOLIS – Former Utah quarterback Tyler Huntley finally threw his first touchdown in a Miami Dolphins jersey against the Indianapolis Colts in week seven.

Huntley was lined up at the 11-yard line and checked to Jonnu Smith, who weaved through the Colts defenders six times.

In the first half at Lucas Oil Stadium, Huntley completed seven of 11 pass attempts for 87 yards and a touchdown. He also ran for 20 yards five times.

The Dolphins led 10-3 at halftime, with Huntley outpointing Anthony Richardson in his return from injury.

It took the former Ute nine quarters of football to find his arm in the end zone, but he finally managed to end that losing streak. The score was also Smith’s first as a Dolphin.

In his first two games with Miami, Huntley completed 32 of 53 passes for 290 yards.

The Dolphins found the end zone just once in his first two starts. That was a scramble-and-score against Tennessee in Week 5.
