Happy birthday to Seattle Seahawks running back Kenneth Walker! The Seahawks’ most important offensive player officially turned 24 years old today. To celebrate, the former Michigan State star is preparing to play against the Atlanta Falcons. Over the weekend, Walker was downgraded to QUESTIONABLE due to an illness. However, it looks like he’s gotten through enough of it to get dressed and will take action.

Walker brings another advantage to Seattle’s offense when he’s in the lineup. He is a threat and brings the ball into the house with every touch. Without him, the Seahawks will be far too one-dimensional on that side of the ball.

This year, Walker has rushed for 234 yards and five touchdowns. That’s of course after missing two games due to injury and a game against the Giants when offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb inexplicably refused to run the ball in any capacity.

If the Seahawks want to pull off an upset against the Falcons, they need to get Walker going. Seattle’s defense is ailing, and even when healthy, they have a hard time getting off the field. Seattle’s best chance is to control the clock and keep Atlanta’s offense on the sidelines.
