Isaiah Bond Injury: Star Receiver’s Status Announced for Texas Football vs. Georgia

Texas Football’s final pregame availability report contained good news for Longhorns outside linebacker Isaiah Bond.

Bond was not included in the report, suggesting he will play when Texas and Georgia kick off at Royal-Memorial Stadium at 6:30 p.m.

He was dealing with an ankle injury that forced him to leave last week’s game against Oklahoma early. He was listed as questionable in the first report of the week, but was later upgraded to probable.

Texas football injury report: Will Isaiah Bond play against Georgia?

Bond’s involvement is a big boost for coach Steve Sarkisian and the Longhorns. He is the leading receiver in Texas with 369 yards to go and three receiving touchdowns. He also rushed for 51 yards and a touchdown this season.

There were no surprises outside of Bond. Reserve offensive lineman Trevor Goosby is out, as is defenseman Derek Williams Jr., who suffered a season-ending injury last week.
