There will be a collection of clean uniforms at the halfway point of the 16-week college football season.

In Week 8, No. 22 Illinois will face No. 24 Michigan on Saturday in its fourth ranked game of the season.

On October 18, 1924, Hall of Fame running back Red Grange led the Fighting Illini to a 39-14 victory over Michigan with a legendary six-touchdown game. One hundred years later, at the Memorial Stadium rededication game, Illinois will honor the historic achievement at Saturday’s Memorial Stadium rededication game by wearing a retro uniform that mimics the classic look of Grange and his teammates.

Icy whites

No. 2 Oregon has excelled in its competition this season, most notably earning a comfortable win over Ohio State. For their game against Purdue on Friday night, the Ducks wore an all-white ensemble, part of their “Generation O” uniform collection, with a mascot patch on the shoulder.

Unique combinations

Purdue has had a tough time finding its footing in 2024 so far, and on Saturday the Boilermakers face their toughest test yet against Dan Lanning and Oregon. They will wear a new all-black alternate uniform with gold lettering and trim, as well as a gold face mask on the helmet.

The Utah Utes are looking to get back on track after being overwhelmed by Arizona’s Big 12 contenders, the Arizona State Sun Devils and the Arizona Wildcats. The Utes will wear a sweet black-on-white combination against another Big 12 opponent, TCU.
