Nashville area top performers for Week 9

Lipscomb Academy’s Cam Blivens pushed the Mustangs past Knoxville Catholic 47-23 with nine receptions for 223 yards and four touchdowns.

Here are the rest of our top Tennessee high school football players from the Nashville area in Week 9.

Gavyn Nelson, Brentwood: Nelson rushed for 97 yards on 18 carries to push the Bruins past Centennial, 20-10.

Jackson Stroup, Gallatin: Stroup was 11 of 18 passing for 186 yards and three touchdowns, while throwing one interception, in Gallatin’s 48-13 win over Wilson Central.

Cooper Jordan, Hendersonville: Jordan had 16 carries for 108 yards and three touchdowns as Hendersonville defeated Portland 31-28.

Riley Jordan, Hendersonville: Jordan caught four passes for 132 yards and a touchdown in the final minute to give Hendersonville the game. He also completed a 61-yard pass.

Ty Snell, Lipscomb Academy: The eighth-grader was 15 of 19 passing for 241 yards and three touchdowns.

Corben Reynolds, Loretto: Reynolds caught six passes for 124 yards and a touchdown in Loretto’s 28-21 loss to Eagleville.

Jared Curtis, Nashville Christian: The No. 1 QB in the country in 2026 was 11 of 16 passes for 233 yards and four touchdowns as the Eagles defeated Fayetteville 46-0.

Brock Haywood, Nashville Christian: Haywood ran eight times for 93 yards and a touchdown and caught a 47-yard touchdown pass.

Down Morris, Oakland: Morris needed just six carries to gain 65 yards, averaging 10 yards per carry, as Oakland rolled over Coffee County 42-10.

LJ Funk, Pearl-Cohn: Funk was 5 of 7 passing for 123 yards and three touchdowns as Pearl-Cohn defeated Greenbrier 62-0.

Javion Kinnard, Pearl-Cohn: Kinnard had two kickoff returns for touchdowns, one 70 yards and one 73 yards.

Wedges Dalton, Portland: Dalton ran 21 times for 135 yards and two touchdowns and added a receiving touchdown in Portland’s 31-28 loss to Hendersonville.

Caden Pace, Ravenwood: Pace rushed 13 times for 94 yards and a touchdown as Ravenwood defeated Franklin 28-7.

DJ Taylor, Riverdale: The MTSU commit rushed for 91 yards and a touchdown and added a six-yard touchdown reception in Riverdale’s 24-7 win over Blackman.

Kason Woodson, Springfield: The second-year quarterback was 10 of 16 for 154 yards and four touchdowns as Springfield defeated Hunters Lane 35-0.

Cameron Cobbins, Springfield: Cobbins finished the game with three receptions for 51 yards and two touchdowns.

Keilan Harris, Stewarts Creek: Harris totaled 10 tackles, six TFLs, four sacks and a fumble recovery as Stewarts Creek defeated Smyrna 21-0. He also rushed for a 15-yard touchdown.

Mason McElhaney, Summit: McElhaney ran 15 times for 77 yards and two touchdowns while completing 7 of 8 passes for 120 yards and two touchdowns as Summit defeated Overton 48-7.

Bronzden Chaffin, Upperman: Chaffin rushed 14 times for 129 yards and a rushing TD. He was also 11 of 17 passing for 174 yards and a touchdown.

Ethan Palk, Upperman: Palk carried the ball 16 times for 108 yards and two touchdowns.
