SpaceX launches 20 Starlink internet satellites from Florida

SpaceX sent another batch of its Starlink internet satellites into orbit this evening (October 18).

A Falcon 9 rocket carrying 20 Starlink aircraft, including 13 with direct-to-cell capability, lifted off from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida at 7:31 p.m. EDT (2331 GMT) this evening.

The Falcon 9 first stage returned to Earth as planned about 8.5 minutes after liftoff and landed on the SpaceX Just Read the Instructions drone ship in the Atlantic Ocean.

According to a SpaceX mission description, it was the 17th launch and landing of this particular launch vehicle.
