Shakira’s Little Caesars Arena show is on hold as the singer reorganizes her tour

Colombian music superstar Shakira has put her upcoming tour, including her Dec. 15 concert at Little Caesars Arena, on hold, but is already preparing make-up dates that will be announced Monday, she said in a social media post Friday -Contribution.

“Your incredible support since announcing my tour has been truly extraordinary and already makes this the biggest tour of my career,” the 47-year-old singer said in a statement posted to her Instagram Stories. “The demand for tickets and more shows has reached a point where our tour now requires stadiums across the US and more dates so I can see as many of you as possible.”

The shows would be rescheduled for May 2025, right after the “Hips Don’t Lie” hitmaker’s Latin American tour, she said.

Ticketmaster’s website listed most of her tour’s dates – including performances in Chicago, Washington DC, Dallas and Miami – as “cancelled.” But Little Caesars Arena’s date is “postponed” and is listed as “date and time to be announced.”

Shakira’s Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour – translation: Women No Longer Cry – was announced in April and is named after her 2024 album, which was released in March.

“I know that many of you have gone to great lengths to attend these shows,” her statement said. “Thank you very much for supporting me. Your understanding and love means a lot to me and helps me continue to overcome barriers.”

Shakira’s last performance in Detroit was at Little Caesars Arena in August 2018.
