Comedian Jim Gaffigan’s fiery digs at Vice President Kamala Harris and his fellow Democrats at the Al Smith dinner have spread like wildfire on social media – with some calling his jokes about the impeachment the “murder of an entire political party.”

Gaffigan took repeated shots at the Democratic nominee during Thursday night’s glitzy event in Manhattan after Harris became the first presidential candidate in 40 years to skip the light-hearted Catholic Charities party.

“You know, this event was called the Catholic Met Gala. 22 percent of Americans identify as Catholic. Catholics will be an important demographic in any contested state. “I’m sorry, why isn’t Vice President Harris here?” the prankster said as he hosted the charity dinner.

Standing just a few seats away from Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and former President Donald Trump, Gaffigan drew loud laughter as he mocked Harris for making time for other platforms instead – including the sex podcast ” Call Her Daddy.”

“I mean, remember, this is a room full of Catholics and Jews in New York City. “This is a basket case for the Democratic candidate,” Gaffigan said.

“In her defense, she has found time to appear on The View, Howard Stern, Colbert and the long-running campaign podcast Call Her Daddy,” he continued. “Do you know what I think? I think she doesn’t like me. Chuck, do I have bad breath?”

At one point, the “Saturday Night Live” punter also joked that Democrats chose to replace President Biden with Harris because they fear a Trump victory so much.

“Democrats have told us that Trump’s re-election is a threat to democracy. In fact, they were so concerned about this threat that they staged a coup, ousting their democratically elected incumbent and putting Kamala Harris in power,” Gaffigan said.

“In other words, all of her dreams have come true. It really makes me think about the power of prayer, doesn’t it, Cardinal? Sometimes prayers take three and a half years and a comment from George Clooney.”

Snippets of the comedian’s comments quickly spread across social media – with many joking that it was “not even a comedy because it’s the truth.”

“Hello 911, I want to report the murder of an entire political party,” one user tweeted.

“Breaking: Jim Gaffigan just lost all his future comedy specials on Netflix,” another wrote on X.

Meanwhile, one user chimed in and said, “Jim Gaffigan just called a coup against Biden, Schumer shit his pants, Trump smiled and now we know why Kamala didn’t show up!”

“The brutal shutdown is made worse by the fact that what he says is true,” said another.
