Fox News host Bret Baier said Thursday he made “a mistake” when he didn’t include a specific clip of former President Trump in his interview with Vice President Harris the previous day.

During his interview with the vice president on Fox News’ “Special Report,” Harris and Baier argued over a clip of Trump’s “enemy within” comments about political rivals.

Baier showed a clip from a town hall broadcast earlier in the day on Fox News’ “The Faulkner Focus” in which Trump said he was threatening “nobody.”

“That clip was not what he said about the enemy within. … That’s not what you just showed,” Harris told the Fox News host. “You didn’t show that, and here’s the bottom line: He repeated it several times, and you and I both know that, and you and I both know that he talked about using the military against the American people.”

Baier said on Thursday in “Special Report” that he had “actually made a mistake” regarding the excerpts shown in the interview.

“I want to say I made a mistake,” Baier said in a clip highlighted by Mediaite, whose show also featured Harris Faulkner. “When I asked for a sound bite, I expected that part of the ‘enemy within’ part of Maria Bartiromo’s interview would be linked to the part from your town hall, Harris, in which you called the former president ‘the enemy.’ asked from within.’”

In an interview with Bartiromo on Fox News’ “Sunday Morning Futures” last weekend, Trump dismissed President Biden’s concerns about a less-than-peaceful Election Day, saying he believes “the bigger problem is the enemy within, not even.” the people who did it. “Come in and destroy our country.”

“I think the bigger problem is the people on the inside,” Trump said. “We have some very bad people. We have some sick people, radical left-wing crazy people.”
