ORLANDO, Fla. – Universal Studios Orlando has announced that Epic Universe, its highly anticipated fourth theme park in Florida, will open sooner than expected – in May 2025 – with lands themed thereafter Super Nintendo World, the magical world of Harry PotterAnd How to train your dragon.

Here’s what you need to know about Epic Universe’s opening date, when tickets go on sale and how to purchase them, hotel information, and the countries, rides, and attractions that will be part of the new theme park.

When will Epic Universe open in Florida?

The Epic Universe portals will officially open on May 22, 2025, allowing visitors access to five brand new worlds:

When can I buy tickets?

• On Tuesday, October 22, a variety of multi-day tickets and vacation packages will go on sale that include three, four or five days of entry to Universal’s theme parks – including one day entry to Epic Universe.
• Reservations for the Universal Helios Grand Hotel will open on Tuesday, October 22, for stays beginning May 22, 2025.

Can Universal Pass holders purchase Epic Universe tickets early?

• Annual pass holders have the exclusive opportunity to purchase day passes for the Universal Epic Universe before They are sold to the general public. Passholders can take advantage of this priority opportunity starting Thursday, October 24th.

The following multi-day ticket options including Universal Epic Universe will be available:

• 3-day ticket: Enjoy two days of access to Universal Studios Florida and Universal Islands of Adventure, plus a separate day of entry to Universal Epic Universe
• 4-day ticket: Enjoy three days of access to Universal Studios Florida and Universal Islands of Adventure, plus a separate day of entry to Universal Epic Universe
• 5-day ticket: Enjoy four days of access to Universal Studios Florida and Universal Islands of Adventure, plus a separate day of entry to Universal Epic Universe

Where is Epic Universe?

Epic Universe is 15 minutes from Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure, south of Sand Lake Road and east of Universal Boulevard.

What awaits you in the Epic Universe: lands, rides, attractions and shows.

Epic Universe will house three resort hotels, including the Universal Helios Grand Hotel, and five “portals” that take people to five different themed lands with attractions, rides, shows and restaurants.

Epic Universal Hotels

Universal Helios Grand Hotel (opened May 22, 2025): Described as the “crown jewel” of Epic Universe, the Universal Helios Grand Hotel is located within the theme park and has its own entrance for guests. The Mediterranean-style hotel features 500 rooms, stunning views of Epic Universe’s Celestial Park, a rooftop bar and lounge, a resort-style pool, hot tub and poolside bar, and Florida Taverna, the signature restaurant .

Universal Stella Nova Resort (opens January 21, 2025): This resort will have 750 rooms and will be the sister property of Universal Terra Luna Resort. It features a resort-style pool, bar, game room, quick-service dining room, and bar and grill.

Universal Terra Luna Resort (opens February 25, 2025): This resort will also have 700 rooms and will be the sister property of Stella Nova Resort. Terra Luna focuses on unknown parts of the universe, including an “impressive solar system.” This resort will feature quick-service restaurants, a bar and grill, and an outdoor pool.

Both resorts are easily identified along International Drive by their colorful exteriors.

Epic Universe lands

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic

This will be the third Harry Potter-inspired land at Universal Orlando. Inspired by the Fantastic beasts In the series, people are transported to Paris in the 1920s. Then in the 1990s, people return to Harry, Ron and Hermione to explore the Ministry of Magic. This land will have a new ride, Harry Potter and the Battle of the Ministrya large-scale theater show, The Cirque Arcanus, Cosme Acajor Baguettes Magique Wand Shop, Café L’Air De La Sirène (French-inspired restaurant), La Gobelet Noice (restaurant), Bar Moonshine and Bièraubeurre wagon (Butterbeer).

Super Nintendo World

Already open in Japan and Universal Hollywood, Super Nintendo World is finally joining Orlando and will feature several lands of its own including Super Mario Land And Donkey Kong Country. Many favorite characters will be featured in this land, including Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Bowser, Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong. That will have it Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge (Drive), Yoshi’s Adventure (Drive), Toadstool Cafe, Yoshi’s Snack Island, Turbo Boost Treats, 1-Up Factory and Mario Motors (shops) and meet and greets. Donkey Kong Country will have it Mine cart madness. Power-Up Bands are also available for sale in this land, allowing guests to collect digital coins by interacting with blocks and other items throughout the land.

Dark universe

Dark Universe is a highly anticipated land and is inspired by Universal’s legendary monsters, including Dracula, The Wolf Man and Frankenstein’s Monster. The country is set in the fictional universe of Darkmoor and functions Frankenstein’s mansion. It will be home Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experience, Curse of the Werewolf, Darkmoor Monster Makeup Experienceand Monster Meet and Greets. There will be a number of restaurants and shops: The Stakehaus, The Burning Blade Tavern, De Lacey’s Cottage and Pretorius’ Scientific Oddities.

How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk

This land is inspired by the Dreamworks and Universal Pictures animated series. How to train your dragonand is located on the Isle of Berk. There will be various rides and shows: Hiccup’s Wing Gliders, The Untrainable Dragon live show, Fyre Drill, Dragon Racer Rallyand the Viking training camp. People will also be able to meet Hiccup and Toothless. There will also be dining options: Mead Hall, Spit Fyre Grill, Hooligan’s Grog & Gruel.

Heavenly Park

Considered the heart of Heavenly Park. It will be home Stardust racera duel launch coaster; Constellation carousel, Astronomicaan interactive splash pad; and a number of restaurants and shops: Atlantic, The Blue Dragon Pan-Asian Restaurant, Nintendo Super Star Store, The Oak & Star Tavern, Pizza Moon. There will also be fountain shows on the park’s 7-acre waterfront. The Universal Helios Grand Hotel is also located here.
