Shocking images allegedly show drugs and alcohol in Liam Payne’s destroyed hotel room after he fell from the balcony to his death as police search for his dealer, according to local reports.

The images – confirmed by Argentina’s largest newspaper La Nacion – reportedly show a broken television, a half-empty glass that appeared to be champagne, and foil and powder scattered in Payne’s room on the third floor of the CasaSur Palermo Hotel.

Photos of a desk show a Dove soap package, an empty glass and the remains of a burnt candle and the burnt lid of a soda can – along with traces of a white powder that authorities will test to confirm suspicions it is cocaine could, La Nacion reported.

According to La Nacion, there was also wax and burnt foil in the bathtub. The images were confirmed by official sources involved in the death investigation.

According to Pablo Policicchio, communications director for the Buenos Aires Ministry of Security, Argentine officials received a distress call around 5 p.m. about an “aggressive man who could be under the influence of drugs or alcohol.”

Policicchio claimed on Wednesday that the 31-year-old singer “jumped off the balcony of his room.”

Sources close to the investigation also told the newspaper that Payne’s body was found on the ground floor, along with “a bottle of whiskey, a lighter and a cell phone.”

Police also found several blister packs of medications, including clonazepam, energy drinks and other over-the-counter medicines, the outlet reported.

The review of the startling photos came as Argentine officials vowed to hunt down the drug dealer who supplied Payne with the illegal substances found in his room, the outlet reported.

Over the course of his career, both during his time with One Direction and after the band’s breakup, Payne had checked into rehab for alcohol addiction at least twice – and had previously spoken openly about how his addiction caused him to have suicidal thoughts.

“I was worried about how far down I would go. Where is the low point for me? And you would never have seen it. I’m very good at hiding it. Nobody would have ever seen it,” Payne said during an appearance on “The Diary of a CEO” podcast in 2021.

The singer suffered a fractured skull after the sudden fall and died instantly from “very serious injuries,” medical officials confirmed Thursday.

First responders rushed to the CasaSur Palermo hotel after receiving a distress call from the distraught manager late Wednesday, but they could do nothing to save him, said Alberto Crescenti, chief of Buenos Aires’ emergency services.

“Our task was to go there quickly, provide medical assistance and try to revive him, but his injuries were incompatible with life,” the top doctor said, according to La Nacion.

“According to the team’s findings, there appears to have been a fractured skull and extremely serious injuries that resulted in his immediate death.”

He added: “The team could do absolutely nothing. There was no resuscitation as he was confirmed to have died. The whole body had very serious injuries.”

The singer’s body has since been sent for an autopsy, officials said.

Payne rose to fame when he auditioned for The X Factor in 2010 when he was just 16 years old. He was accepted into the boy band One Direction alongside Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson and the group became a global phenomenon.

The band’s split began in 2015 when Malik left the group in the middle of their world tour. One Direction went on an indefinite hiatus the following year.

Payne leaves behind a son, Bear, 7, with his ex, singer Cheryl Cole.
