The Dodgers aren’t making any changes with Shohei Ohtani.

The NL MVP frontrunner has put up some strange numbers this postseason – 6-for-8 with runners on bases and 0-for-19 with the bases empty – as the Dodgers head into Game 3 of an NLCS that only features one game at a time the Mets.

Still, Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said there was no plan to oust him from the managerial position, where he hit in 90 of the team’s regular-season games and all seven postseason games.

“It’s just funny how things change, where there was a lot of concern that Shohei wouldn’t be able to score with the runners in scoring position – and now we’re trying to find all the ways … to get people on base so he can “Right?” That’s what Roberts said on Tuesday, according to ESPN.com.

“I find that kind of weird, a little.”

Ohtani’s numbers are nearly identical in the two regular-season slots, sitting at .307 from leadoff compared to .314 from the two slots.

Ohtani has a higher on-base batting percentage (.392 vs. .387) and hit much better from No. 1 (.680 vs. .602).

“I think it’s isolated,” Roberts said. “There were times when he needed to reset like all batsmen. Sometimes certain throwers trigger bad habits. And you have to identify that to then reset it. … But to think that I’m going to move Shohei to the 4 or the 3, that’s just not going to happen.”

So expect Ohtani to continue leading the way in the NLCS, where Mets pitcher Sean Manaea gave the Japanese slugger some silly-looking hits in Game 2.

Ohtani struck out in his first two plate appearances Monday, the first to open the game and the second to start the third inning, as Manaea gave the Mets a 7-3 victory.

“No matter how they pitch me, my plan is to stick with the same approach as much as possible and not focus too much on how they attack me… If I’m feeling good and the results aren’t there, then “I’m not too worried because luck is part of it,” Ohtani said through an interpreter, according to ESPN.

The Mets turn to Luis Severino in Game 3 for the biggest start of his career to date as the Mets look to take control of the best of seven to secure the right to advance to the World Series.
