The Mets outfielder makes a sensational catch in the NLCS, narrowly avoiding a nasty collision with his teammate

The top of the second inning featured sloppy New York Mets defense except for Tyrone Taylor.

But Tommy Edman was close to scoring two runs with a double – but Taylor saved the day.

Edman drove a ball into the gap in right center field that appeared to land between Taylor and Starling Marte – the two outfielders were also on a crash course to each other.

But Taylor somehow managed to make the diving catch, literally, against Marte’s leg, and avoid a Mike Cameron-Carlo Beltran situation.

The runner on third scored, resulting in an unfortunate stall for Edman, and Taylor undoubtedly saved the runner on first from scoring.
