Browns running back Nick Chubb participated fully in practice on Wednesday and is on track to make his season debut on Sunday when the Cincinnati Bengals visit Cleveland in Week 7 of the NFL.

According to a report last week, Chubb was expected to play his first game of the season against the Bengals.

Chubb had at least 100 rushing yards in six of the ten games he played against the Bengals.

The Browns designated Chubb to return from the physically unable to perform list on October 3, meaning they have until October 23 to activate Chubb or keep him on the PUP list for the remainder of the season.

When Chubb was sidelined with a season-ending knee injury in the second quarter of the Browns’ Monday Night Football loss at Pittsburgh in September 2023, Cleveland turned to former Cincinnati Bearcats standout Jerome Ford to handle the load at running back to wear.

Ford sat out Sunday’s loss to the Philadelphia Eagles with a hamstring injury. Because of the injury, Ford was unable to practice on Wednesday.

Limited participants Wednesday included safety Grant Delpit (concussion), running back D’Onta Foreman (groin), defensive end Myles Garrett (Achilles), linebacker and former Lakota West High School star Jordan Hicks (elbow), according to the Browns’ injury report , triceps), safety Juan Thornhill (calf), cornerback Denzel Ward (hamstring) and tackle Jedrick Wills (shoulder, knee).

Center Ethan Pocic was unable to practice due to a knee injury.
