Early voting begins in Tennessee in less than a week.

Although Shelby County is among the most populous in Tennessee, only 13% of eligible voters cast a ballot in the primary election. In 2020, there were 383,044 voters in the presidential election, more than 300,000 of whom cast their votes early. As of October 1, there were 551,692 active registered voters in Shelby County.

When does early voting take place in Shelby County?

Early voting in Tennessee runs from October 16th to October 31st. After that, the only day to vote is Election Day, November 5th.

Who is on the 2024 ballot?

The most prominent battle in this year’s election cycle is the presidential race. This race features a matchup between former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris.

In Tennessee’s election, the state will vote between Marsha Blackburn, Gloria Johnson, Tharon Chandler and Pamela Jeanine “P” in the Senate race. Moses and Hastina Robinson.

What should you bring with you to early voting?

If you are eligible to vote, all you need to do is bring a valid ID. A driver’s license or photo ID issued by the Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security, the Tennessee state government, or the federal government is acceptable, even if expired. Student ID cards from Tennessee colleges or universities are not accepted.

Where can I vote early in Shelby County?

If you are registered to vote in Shelby County, you can vote anywhere in the county during early voting.

For example, if you are registered to vote in Bartlett, you can vote early in Memphis, Arlington, Germantown, or any other location with an early voting location.
