Neighbor reports hearing screams during an argument before Suzanne Simpson’s disappearance

The husband of the woman who has been missing from Olmos Park for days has been arrested, according to Olmos Park police.

Suzanne Clark Simpson, a mother of four and real estate agent, was last seen Sunday at the Argyle Private Club in Alamo Heights.

Olmos Park police officers said husband Brad Simpson was arrested in Kendall County on a family violence charge in connection with his wife’s disappearance.

The Texas Department of Public Safety is asking for the public’s help by asking anyone who saw a black 2019 GMC AT4 pickup truck with Texas license plate MWD7050 between the morning of October 7th and October 8th at 11 p.m seen doing this please contact the Olmos Park Police Department.

According to the police report, a neighbor who lived across the street from the Simpsons’ home on East Olmos Drive told police he saw Brad and Suzanne arguing outside his window. The two then began physically fighting with each other, with the neighbor saying he saw Brad “grab her upper body area to gain control of her body.” He said Brad was clearly trying to stop Suzanne from running away.

After a few minutes, the neighbor went outside with his flashlight to look for the couple when he heard screaming from a nearby wooded area and ran back into his house. After about an hour, he told police he saw Brad leave in his pickup truck and return about an hour or two later, the police report said.

Earlier Tuesday, a family member told investigators they saw Brad punch Suzanne in the face and “possibly push her into a wall.” Later, the family member said they saw a bruise on her elbow and learned that Brad had stolen Suzanne’s cell phone.

According to the police report, “Brad was uncooperative during the investigation and did not appear for a follow-up interview as he moved to his ranch in Bandera and apparently separated from his family.”

The San Antonio Police Department and the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) are all involved in the search and investigation. Local law enforcement searched for Simpson throughout the morning, but so far have found no trace of her.

Searches are being conducted along the San Antonio River at the intersection of East Olmos Drive and East Contour Drive near her home.

“Basically we’re looking for anything,” said DPS Sgt. Deon Cockrell. “Search parties will search her and continue to search for her in every possible area where she may be missing or possibly found.”

Simpson is 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighs about 140 pounds, and has brown hair and hazel eyes. She was last seen wearing a black knee-length dress and black heels, which she may have taken off.

Officers from the Olmos Police Department said they were also searching wooded areas. Simpson’s family has also joined the search.

If you have any information on her whereabouts, call Olmos Park police at (210) 822-2000.
