Fantasy Football: Players should consider leaving to clear Week 7 waiver clearance

Fantasy managers will spend the next 24 hours working on the waiver claim, but that’s obviously just part of the process. In most cases you will also have to make an appropriate discard. And we want to help you with these difficult cuts.

Most fantasy advice will never be a one-size-fits-all solution, and that’s especially true when it comes to a cut list. You need to apply this to your situation and the context of your league. A fancy treasure in one league could be a see-you-later player in another room. And remember: If you never make a regrettable cut during the season, you’re probably playing way too conservatively.

I have a few fantasy shares of Likely and I’m not eager to give them up. But we have to accept that when it comes to tight ends these days, he’s just an emergency slot and not someone to play against. He has only had nine catches since the start of the blowup season. Unless Mark Andrews gets injured, the lineup probably can’t be relied upon. And given his farewell season, that could make him a drop now.

They used a good process when adding Wicks but he failed to get through on his last two occasions and now the receiving room is recovering. The Packers also have two talented defenders and a strong tight end. Wicks is also dealing with a shoulder injury, which puts him on week-to-week status. For most formats, it’s not worth the wait.

Jonathan Taylor probably won’t be around much longer, even if he can’t play in Week 7. But Sermon has a more pressing problem – Tyler Goodson is clearly outperforming him. That certainly wasn’t lost on the Indianapolis coaching staff.

He blew his chance to start last week (13 carries, 19 yards) and the Patriots will go back to Rhamondre Stevenson when he’s healthy, no matter how much he fumbles. And some of New England’s rushing production will also be distributed to athletic and resourceful rookie quarterback Drake Maye.

He’s battling a nagging Achilles tendon, the offense is ruined by poor blocking and QB play, and Nick Chubb could return this week. Ford was a fantasy guy for most of the year, and while most of that wasn’t his fault, he has a ceiling.

He made sense as a Week 6 sleeper, although his differences between home and road are starting to become too great to ignore (Jones is playing poorly in New Jersey for some reason). This week there is a home game against Philly and then a trip to Pittsburgh. While Malik Nabers is expected back, here’s hoping they have a better QB option to navigate the bye weeks.
