NFL Trade Rumors: The Eagles will get a second-round pick from the Jets in 2026 if Haason Reddick moves to the NFC team

It seems like the resolution to the Haason-Reddick saga is finally just around the corner. The New York Jets have reportedly given the veteran edge rusher, who recently hired Drew Rosenhaus after being released by his previous agency, permission to seek a trade.

Why is this news relevant to the Philadelphia Eagles? Well, as a reminder, The Birds are not allowed to trade for Reddick.

But Reddick’s potential new landing spot is still of great interest as it relates to the conditional draft pick compensation the Eagles received from the Jets.

Currently, the Eagles are only poised to receive the Jets’ 2026 second-round pick if Reddick meets the following two conditions: 1) 10 sacks… AND… 2) 67.5% of defensive snaps played. Otherwise, the Eagles will receive the Jets’ 2026 third-round pick.

However, according to Josina Anderson, the Eagles will automatically receive the Jets’ 2026 second-round pick if Reddick is traded to an NFC team.

So that’s good news!

Unless, of course, Reddick is dealt to an NFC team that poses a threat to the Eagles’ chances.

In that regard, there is some thought that the Detroit Lions might be interested in Reddick after losing Aidan Hutchinson to a season-ending injury. This would be a really nice replacement option for her.

But perhaps Reddick will end up somewhere else. The Jets may not want to trade him to the NFC knowing they will be giving up their 2026 second-round pick instead of the third-round pick.

Or maybe he just signs a contract extension and stays in New York? Probably not.

Whatever the outcome, the Reddick situation is something to keep an eye on.
